This week is the Global Week for Future. That future belongs to our children. And that future depends on our planet, our home. As people gather all around the world to make a stand against climate change and Greta Thunberg addresses global leaders at this year’s Climate Action Summit, it’s clear that the politicians are failing to act upon the urgent need to protect our planet for future generations. In Greta’s heartfelt address, she pleads “People are suffering. People are dying. Entire ecosystems are collapsing. We are in the beginning of a mass extinction, and all you can talk about is money and fairy tails of eternal economic growth. How dare you?” She goes on to say “the politics and solutions needed are still nowhere in sight”. According to organisation Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) “One marine mammal or sea bird dies every thirty seconds from plastic pollution”
We can no longer afford to wait around for our world leaders to come up with policies to protect our beautiful planet, we must do this for ourselves and we must act fast before it is too late.

Lots of people have been asking us what it means to have a truly non-toxic play mat. Below is a summary of our two years of research on the subject, and why it’s so important.
THE IMPORTANCE OF CHOOSING A NON-TOXIC PLAY MAT
Indoor air quality is up to six times more polluted than outside our homes, even in congested cities! The main contributors to poor air quality inside are soft furnishings, floorings, MDF wood, carpets and curtains, so the choices we make when buying these can have a significant effect on the air that we breath.
[...]When choosing sleeping bags, blankets and duvets for your little ones, the outer fabric is very important, but it’s mainly about what’s inside, and here’s why.
As the filling makes up the majority of the fabric, it’s really important that it’s a high quality, natural fibre which is going to help regulate your baby’s temperature. Synthetic fabrics such as polyester inside a duvet or sleeping bag are not breathable and can easily cause overheating and sweaty nights, while not keeping in the warmth on cooler evenings.
